Revolutionary Vanguard Organization--Young Communist League of KoreaThe Young Communist League of Korea(YCLK), which President Kim Il Sung formed on August ２８, １９２７, was the genuine revolutionary vanguard organization of the Korean youth.The Young Communist League of Korea was also called YCL.The President, after analyzing the prevailing situation which required a vanguard organization to control in a unified manner the numberless organizations of young people and students as well as revolutionary organizations, and to lead them to anti-Japanese struggle, convened the meeting for forming the YCLK and made a historic speech at the meeting.He, in his speech, mentioned the necessity to form the YCLK and its character, and indicated the tasks for strengthening the YCLK and enhancing its role.The YCLK was a youth organization fighting against imperialism and for national liberation and communism, and which was formed by seasoned and tempered young people from different revolutionary organizations, with the core elements of the Anti-Imperialist Youth League as its backbone.The formation of the YCLK is the historic event which declared the birth of the genuine revolutionary vanguard organization of the youth and significant for the development of the communist movement.Chairman Kim Jong Il, who always gave deep attention to the youth movement, fixed August ２８, a significant day when the President formed the YCLK in the flame of anti-Japanese struggle, as the Youth Day.Today, our young people perform miraculous feats in the construction of a powerful socialist country displaying their youthful resources and gallantry to the full for the sake of the motherland and revolution under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who carries forward the great leaders’ policy of prioritizing the youth.Rodong Sinmun Revolutionary Vanguard Organization--Young Communist League of Korea The Young Communist League of Korea(YCLK), which President Kim Il Sung formed on August ２８, １９２７, was the genuine revolutionary vanguard organization of the Korean youth.
