True Meaning He Taught in Delight
In November, ２０１５, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected a foodstuff factory.
After learning about the modernization of the factory, he highly appreciated that the factory had thoroughly implemented the Party’s policy on domestic production.
The officials were glad that they could give pleasure to the respected General Secretary with the modernization of the factory.
However, they couldn’t fully understand why the respected General Secretary appreciated them so highly.
That day, he made repeated praises while seeing the homemade equipment installed at different workshops and noted that what was the core in modernization was to make up-to-date equipment with our hands.
He continued that he highly appreciated that the foodstuff industry sector upheld the banner of home production of equipment.
Then he earnestly taught that all the factories should focus on home production based on our people and technology in modernization like the factory.
His instruction implied that the true modernization means to make the factory filled with equipment made by our own efforts in conformity with our actual conditions.
The officials of the factory kept in their minds what the core of modernization was and made up their minds to bring about an upswing in production in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance.
What He Was Deeply Concerned about
One July day in ２０１８, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the Samjiyon Potato Farina Production Factory.
During his inspection, first he learned about the operational condition of steam generator and its capacity for steam production.
In the past, the factory had been troubled with providing enough steam for the production.
The respected General Secretary, acquainting himself with it, had given detailed instructions to install a new steam generator in our own style and indicated ways for its solution.
That day, an official of the factory informed him the steam generator was in good condition.
The respected General Secretary, expressing his satisfaction at that, directed his step towards the steam generator.
Looking into the heated boiler, he said it satisfied him that the factory installed the steam generator made by our own efforts and technology on the basis of our designs and the specific conditions of our country. And he emphasized that it must be our style.
The officials were impressed with the General Secretary and kept deep in mind that only when creating everything by our own efforts, they can provide our people with happy life and make substantial contribution to the national economy development.
One June day in ２０１６, the respected General Secretary visited the remodeled Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory regardless of rain.
He, making the rounds of the factory, acquainted himself with its modernization and production, dropped in at the newly-built general analytical laboratory.
Looking round the facilities, he said with satisfaction that building of the general analytical laboratory well showed that the factory was one of the model units throughout the country, and continued that they deserved to be praised for localizing most of analytical facilities as part of remodeling of the factory.
Presently, he stressed it was our Party’s idea and intention that all kinds of facilities not only production facilities but also other facilities including analytical ones should be localized as the factory did.
That day, the officials took to heart his noble intention that we must develop in our own way and by our own efforts and wisdom in every aspect.
