Sacred History of Our Party
Now our Party confidently leads the revolution and construction to victory while ushering in the era of efflorescence for comprehensive development of socialism on this land with its outstanding organizing ability and veteran leadership skills.
When thinking about the tested and distinguished leadership ability of our Party, we remember the undying exploits of President Kim Il Sung who saw to it that the Party work turned into the work with people.
One February day in １９５９, a plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee was held under the guidance of the President.
In the meeting the President stressed the issue related to the economic work and the issue of improving the Party work.
In the latter half of the １９５０s, socialist system was established in our country and eye-opening development was being made in all fields of socialist construction.
However, at that time, there were outdated methods and styles of work to be overcome without fail in the sector of our Party work.
In this regard, the President scientifically illuminated the Juche-oriented theory of Party work on several occasions including a speech "On Improving Party Work" he made before the chairmen of the provincial, city and county Party committees in March １９５８.
But the officials failed to fully realize it.
So, the President in the plenary meeting that day mainly stressed the issue of improving Party work as well as the issue of economic work.
Referring to the fact that our Party organizations plunged into the administrative and economic work, disregarding the work with Party members and masses and education of them, the President said that the Party work is the work with the people.
This is the meaningful instruction clarifying the essence of the Party work, which is the original theory.
The President illuminated the essence of the Party work on the Juche-oriented principle that man is the master of everything and decides everything.
The Party work is the work with the people. This is the classic formulation which could be made only by our President, who victoriously led our Party and revolution under the banner of Juche.
Later, the President convened a plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee in December １９５９.
At the plenary meeting he indicated the task for fundamentally improving the work system and methods of Party, state and economic organs.
In February the next year, the President gave field guidance at Chongsan-ri and the then Kangso County to create the Chongsan-ri spirit and Chongsan-ri method.
Indeed, the Chongsan-ri spirit and method are the most revolutionary and popular method of leading masses on the basis of the Juche-oriented outlook and stand on the popular masses and greatest love for and trust in them.
Like this, the President successfully solved the issue of work method of our socialist ruling Party in a unique way and brought about the fundamental turning point in enhancing its leadership role.
His undying revolutionary exploits are shining long along with the history of building our Juche-oriented Party.
Today our Party is greeting a new heyday of strengthening Party under the wise leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.
Victory and glory are in store for our people struggling to build a powerful socialist country as they are led by the Workers’ Party of Korea which has carried forward the original ideals and spirit and displayed its dignity all over the world as powerful and tested guiding force.
