Brilliant Feats Performed in Construction of Large-scale Greenhouse Farm
The spirit of patriotic youth is being fully displayed at the construction site of ４５０-hectare greenhouse farm and the vegetable science research centre.
Members of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade completed in the main exterior tiling of the semi-arch greenhouse through collective innovation and conducted its interior and exterior construction in a three-dimensional way.
Bearing in mind the Party’s policy of directing primary efforts to ensuring the quality of construction, the command team of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade has purposefully organized and conducted the work of sharing and transferring advanced construction methods and experiences while making a strong demand on all builders to strictly meet the technical requirements according to the processes.
The officers and shock brigade members of the South Hamgyong Provincial Brigade create new standards and records in the construction to demonstrate the might of the youth unit.
Similar innovations are being witnessed in several provincial brigades.
The shock brigade members of the Pyongyang Municipal Brigade in charge of the construction of the vegetable science research centre also completed the interior wet project of the greenhouse and pavement of a road between greenhouses in the main and thoroughly observe the demand of design and construction in building the auxiliary buildings.
More and More Young People Fulfill Their Quotas for National Economic Plan
Young people in the major industrial sectors of the national economy render distinguished services in high spirits.
According to the amassed data, nearly one hundred young people fulfilled the two-year quotas for the national economic plan and over ４ ８８０ their yearly ones across the country till last June.

Young people in the forestry sector also waged a brisk campaign for increased production. Over ５０ young people completed the yearly timber production task in mid-February at the Hwaphyong Forestry Station under the Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau. Timed to coincide with this, over ５００ other young people of the management bureau completed their timber production tasks.
In light-industry factories like the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill, the Sinuiju Textile Mill and the September Textile Mill, an increasing number of workers fulfilled their two-year or yearly production plans.
Hundreds of Youth Workteam and Sub-workteam Become High-yield Units
Amid the fierce flame of the collective innovations among young people in the field of agriculture, the youth workteams and sub-workteams across the country launch brisk competitive campaigns for having the honor of high-yield units.
As a result, hundreds of youth workteams and sub-workteams were honored to become high-yield units in harvesting wheat and barley this year.
True to the Party’s intention, the youth sub-workteam of the Soljae Farm in Sonchon County, with determination to reap bumper harvest of preceding crops, extended the cultivated land for raising wheat and put efforts into cultivation of wheat.
Thus, they produced over seven tons of wheat per hectare, and the youth sub-workteam of the Tangsan Vegetable Farm in Songrim City produced over five tons of wheat per hectare.
The youth sub-workteam of the Thaephyong Farm under the Jagang Provincial Rural Economy Committee introduced the advanced scientific farming method to increase wheat production per hectare.
Now the youth workteams and sub-workteams across the country wage the fierce campaign for making successes in aftercrop farming.
