Shanghai Art Troupe of China leaves Pyongyang

The Shanghai Art Troupe of China left Pyongyang for home by air on October 12 after visiting the DPRK at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture of the DPRK on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. It was seen off at Pyongyang International Airport by Pak Kyong Chol, vice-minister of Culture of the DPRK, officials concerned, Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy members. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
