New houses built in Hyesan City

A ceremony of moving into new houses took place at the Rojung Vegetable Farm in Hyesan City of Ryanggang Province. It was attended by officials of the Party and power organs in the province and the city, builders and the agricultural workers who would move into new houses. A congratulatory address was made to be followed by resolution-making speeches. As moving into new houses began, the farm village was filled with excitement and joy of the working people moving into new houses amid a joyful dance party. Officials visited the families of the farmers who moved into new houses and shared joy with them, encouraging them to glorify the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea with successes in increased grain production. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper.
