Renovation project of Haeju-Jaeryong road completed, opening ceremony held in South Hwanghae Province

The Haeju-Jaeryong road was wonderfully upgraded in South Hwanghae Province. The safety inspection ground of vehicles, resting place and spring water site were built on the newly expanded road, the revetment project and afforestation for erosion control were completed in a qualitative way and the modernity and safety of the road were ensured on a high level. Present at the opening ceremony on September 19 were Pak Thae Dok, chief secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials and working people in the province. Kim Chol Bom, chairman of the provincial people's committee, made a speech at the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the reconstructed road. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
