The Sangwon Cement Complex has carried out its third quarterly national economic plan. The complex took measures to operate equipment at full capacity and conducted the operation and command in a meticulous way. It exerted efforts on scientifically setting the amount of necessary additives to realize the optimization of products and readjusted and reinforced the production system as required by technical norms, thus providing a sure guarantee for boosting cement production both in quality and quantity. The complex increased the cement production by 8.2 percent over the same period of last year. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper.
