Rice harvest finishes in the main

Article Content

The harvest and threshing are progressing apace in the DPRK amid the mounting spirit of officials and working people in the agricultural field and helpers. Rice harvest was completed in more than 100 cities and counties and over 1 700 farms across the country. Until October 22, the harvesting results exceeded 90 percent. The officials of the Agricultural Commission and the agricultural guidance organs at all levels planned and commanded the rice harvest with great vigour to finish it in the shortest time possible despite unfavourable weather conditions, being conscious that the success of this year's grain production depends on the conclusion of farming. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
