The respectedComrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Kim Kye Ok, a woman centenarian who is living in Neighborhood Unit No. 3 of Chojang-ri, Kwaksan County, North Phyongan Province. She extended her gratitude to Kim Jong Un for sending the birthday spread to an ordinary old woman. She, who was born into a poor peasant family before liberation and had lived with the sorrow of a stateless nation, had cultivated farm fields for decades, devoting sincere efforts to the Workers' Party of Korea which glorified her life. She brought up her children well and did good things helpful to the country even after she became a pensioner. Officials of the county committee of the Workers' Party of Korea congratulated her family on the auspicious event. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
