Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a message of greeting from Raul Castro Ruz and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez on October 10. We extend the warmest congratulations to you and the heroic people of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the glorious Workers' Party of Korea. The WPK founded by the greatComrade Kim Il Sung as the guiding force of society has led the struggle against the aggression of foreign forces to stem socialist construction and, therefore, the founding of your Party serves as a great event in the history of your country. The close relations of friendship between our two parties, governments and peoples that have invariably strengthened in the struggle against imperialism are based on highly mutual trust, political dialogue and the common goal for accomplishing the socialist cause. The close relations between the Workers' Party of Korea and the Communist Party of Cuba are the historic ones provided by Supreme Commander Fidel Castro Ruz and the great leaderComrade Kim Il Sung, which show the understanding and fraternal emotion existing between the two parties. We reaffirm the unshakable will to expand the relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation, hoping that the relations between the WPK and the CPC will continue to strengthen.
