The delegation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (CPLA) led by Xia Zhihe, political commissar of National Defence University of the CPLA, laid a flower basket at the Friendship Tower in Pyongyang on October 26. A guard of honour of the Korean People's Army lined up at the tower. A flower basket in the name of the delegation was laid there. Members of the delegation paid a silent tribute to the memory of the martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers and looked round the tower. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
