An art performance was given at the Mansudae Art Theatre on the afternoon of October 9 by the Russian art mission on a visit to Pyongyang with the best wishes and feelings of friendship of the Russian Federation significantly celebrating the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea, a sacred and glorious holiday of the WPK and the Korean people, as a common auspicious event and holiday.
Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, enjoyed the performance.
The respectedComradeKim Jong Unsaid that the performance would make a distinctive contribution to further boosting the ever-deepening friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries.
Among the audience were Choe Son Hui, foreign minister of the DPRK, Kim Yo Jong, deputy department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, artistes and creators of art troupes at all levels, teaching staffs of art education institutions and Pyongyang citizens.
Members of the Russian embassy in the DPRK also enjoyed the performance.
The performance was given by Russian popular singers and artistes of the Russian State Academic People's Chorus Named after M. E. Pyatnichki, the "Todec" Ballet Theatre Named after Alla Duhoba and the Air and Space Forces Ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
A flower basket in the name ofKim Jong Unwas conveyed to the performers.
Kim Jong Unmounted the stage and expressed thanks to the Russian artistes for their wonderful performance.
