DPRK team advances to last 16 at 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup

The 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup is now underway in Morocco. Divided into six groups, the teams competed in league matches and winners and runners-up from each group and four teams with high scores among the teams which came third will play knockout games in the next stage to decide the final rankings. The DPRK team, belonging to group B, defeated the Mexican team 2-0 in the first match and the Cameroonian team 2-1 in the second match. It played the last match with the Dutch team on October 24 (local time). The footballers of the DPRK team took the initiative from the beginning of the match and made continuous attack to beat the rival 5-0. Finally, the DPRK team took first place in the group with nine points in total and advanced to the last 16. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper.
