Russian President Vladimir Putin referred to his country’s goal of economic development at the recent consultative meeting on economic issues. He said that the important goal pursued by the government is to make Russia’s economic growth rate surpass the world’s. He stressed that the Russian government should strive to overtake the world economy by giving full play to the potentials of all sectors and regions, developing ties with foreign partners, widely introducing advanced technology and opening up promising new aspects of the modern economy.
