The Masikryong spring water wells up in the Masikryong Mountains where there is the Masikryong Ski Resort.
The spring water gushes out along the granite cracks of Tanchon complex formed in the Mesozoic era 120 million years ago. Pine and pine nut trees form a thick forest around the spring.
It contains various minerals including calcium and kalium.
