Choe Son Hui, minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of condolence to Sergei Viktorovich Lavrov, minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, on December 8 as regards the demise of Aleksandr Ivanovich Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK.
She said in the message thatComradeMatsegora was a veteran diplomat of versatile talents and close friend of the DPRK people who made a distinguished contribution to the journey for more firmly cementing the broad avenue towards the eternal future of the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation true to the noble intention of the top leaders of the DPRK and Russia, adding that his demise is a great loss to the peoples of the DPRK and Russia.
Noting that even though we lost a precious comrade, the name ofComradeAmbassador Matsegora who was a witness and contributor to the history of the DPRK-Russia friendly relations will be remembered forever as a noble example of diplomatic officials of the rising generations together with the history of friendship between the two countries, she sincerely hoped that the bereaved family members who lost their close blood relatives and friends would recover inner peace as soon as possible.
