Ceremonies of moving into new houses held in Nampho

Article Content

Modern rural dwellings which have been built at the Jamjin Farm in Kangso District and the Ryongho Farm in Ryonggang County, Nampho Municipality, clearly prove the validity and vitality of the Workers' Party of Korea's programme for the rural revolution in the new era. Ceremonies of moving into new houses were held on the spot. Congratulatory addresses were made at the ceremonies attended by officials of the Party and power organs in Nampho Municipality and Kangso District and Ryonggang County, builders and agricultural workers. As art performances and cheerful peasant dance parties were given, officials visited the families of agricultural workers who moved into new houses to share joy with them and encourage them to conduct a more dynamic high-yielding movement to fill the country's granary. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper.
