A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of China urged Japan to fulfil its obligation as a defeated nation at a press conference on December 5.
In recent years Japan has drastically increased its military budget and exported lethal weapons by repeatedly escaping from the restrictions of the “pacifist constitution” and attempted to revive militarism by loosening military restrictions, he decried.
He stressed that China demands Japan strictly discharge its obligation as a defeated nation stipulated in international law and stop challenging the postwar international order and disturbing the peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.
If Japan keeps going its own way, it will provoke the wrath of the international community and face the punishment of history and justice, he stated.
