Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova denounced the militarist policy of the European Union at a press conference on November 7. She asserted that the militarization of the EU uncontrollably heightens the risk of military and political conflicts in the region. Many European countries that are devoid of sovereignty carry out the instructions of the EU mechanically without considering the real situation of their people, she said, adding that they are unmistakably driving the situation to a sad plight.
