A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry at a press conference on November 10 denounced the Japanese prime minister’s reckless remarks.
Shortly ago, the Japanese prime minister said at the Diet that if China sends warships to Taiwan and uses armed forces and if it is recognized as a threat to the life and death of Japan, the Self-Defense Forces can exercise the “right to collective self-defense” according to Japanese law.
In this regard, the spokesman said that the Japanese prime minister openly made wrong remarks about Taiwan at the Diet and hinted at the intention to intervene in the Taiwan issue by force of arms, thereby wantonly interfering in the internal affairs of China.
The Chinese people have a firm will, sufficient confidence and ability to resolutely thwart all the plots to interfere in the internal affairs of their country, he said, stressing that China strongly urges Japan to immediately stop interfering in its internal affairs and provoking it.
