South Phyongan Province has newly built the Institute of Agricultural Science. The comprehensive research base with research rooms, office building, e-library, online lecture room, hostel and all other conditions was built to lay another material and technical foundation for powerfully propelling the agricultural development of the province. Ri Kyong Chol, chief secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Ri Song Bom, chairman of the provincial people's committee, Choe Yong Song, chairman of the provincial rural economy committee, and officials of the province looked round the newly built institute. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
