The sci-tech symposium in greenhouse vegetable sector-2025 was held at the Kangdong Central Vegetable Research Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Science from November 4 to 17 under the sponsorship of the Korean Vegetable Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
Present there were scientists, technicians, cultivators and field officials of over 90 greenhouse vegetable research and production units including the Kangdong and Sinuiju combined greenhouse farms.
The sci-tech symposium was held in the form of sci-tech presentation and seminar on the theme of "Putting greenhouse vegetable production on a scientific, intensive and industrial basis" and "Rational application of phytosine in vegetable cultivation". Presented to the symposium were more than 80 proposals conducive to revitalizing the production of greenhouse vegetables including new vegetable varieties and cultivation techniques.
The papers on the techniques for breeding and cultivating new high-yield varieties with strong disease tolerance were highly appreciated for their great practical significance.
During the symposium, there were sci-tech lectures on various cultivation techniques and variety selection in greenhouses and a multimedia show.
