Sunchon Building-materials Factory upgraded

The Sunchon Building-materials Factory has been upgraded. The completion of a large-capacity building-materials production base furnished with modern equipment has made it possible to open up a prospect for producing and supplying tiles, paving blocks, slates and other building materials to the construction sites in South Phyongan Province. Present at an inauguration ceremony held on the spot on November 28 were Ri Kyong Chol, chief secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, builders, employees of the factory and working people in Sunchon City. Ri Song Bom, chairman of the South Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, made an inaugural address. At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round various places of the factory. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
