North Phyongan Province has channeled great efforts into putting afforestation on a higher scientific level this year.
The province took scrupulous measures for increasing the rooting rate of trees to the maximum by making active use of phytosin and the like in transplanting tree saplings or big trees.
It established a well-ordered system for supplying cities and counties with various bioactivators and nutriments and took follow-up steps to let the masses acquire a deep understanding of sci-tech problems arising in applying them.
Meanwhile, it made sure that the provincial forest science institute concluded over ten scientific research projects including the studies into the method of raising tree saplings of a new superior breed.
It promoted the introduction of carbonated homemade manure to different units in the province through the arrangement of a show at the Jongju City Forest Management Station.
Better still, the province took proactive measures to protect the forests, precious wealth of the country, from forest fire and harmful insects.
