The people’s laughter rings out endlessly along with the creations of the era which spring up in different parts of the DPRK to demonstrate its power of courageous advance toward the comprehensive development of socialist construction and its eye-opening transformations. It further highlights the truthfulness and vitality of the regional development policy of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Regional-industry factories newly built according to the Regional Development 20×10 Policy were inaugurated with a splendid ceremony in Jangyon County on December 18.
The venue for the inauguration ceremony was filled with boundless gratitude for and absolute trust inComradeKim Jong Unwho opened up a bright prospect for building an ideal socialist society, where all the people across the country enjoy a new richer, happier and highly civilized life, and is translating it into present reality with persistent efforts.
Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, attended the ceremony.
When he arrived at the venue, all the participants broke into stormy cheers of "Hurrah!"
They extended the highest respect to the outstanding leader of the revolution and the benevolent father of the people, who is adorning every year on this land with gigantic changes as he works day and night with burning love for and devotion to the people.
Present at the ceremony were leading officials of the WPK Central Committee, chief secretaries of the provincial committees of the WPK, commanding officers of the Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK and large combined units of the Korean People's Army, officials and working people of South Hwanghae Province and Jangyon County and soldier-builders.
Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, addressed the ceremony.
The speaker said that the auspicious inauguration season brilliantly adorning the year 2025, throughout which an era of regional transformation has been opened up dynamically, also came to Jangyon County and warmly congratulated all the people in the county on holding in the presence ofKim Jong Una significant ceremony of inaugurating the new light industry factories assuring them of their hometown's happy future.
He also extended thanks to the soldier-builders and officials, workers, scientists and technicians in the relevant sectors who added a new page of fresh transformation to the sacred history of regional development through an indomitable offensive struggle.
Saying that the strong current of the great era is rapidly transforming the whole country, he noted that modern hospitals, leisure complexes and other entities of transformation that can match those in the capital city are being erected in cities and counties of the regions and that this reality represents an eye-opening change brought about by the noble intention and tireless efforts ofKim Jong Unto give fuller play to the advantages of their state system guided by the people-first principle in the actual life of the people through thoroughgoing and substantial implementation of the regional development strategy.
Recalling thatKim Jong Unindicated the concrete orientation, tasks and methodologies for successfully carrying out the gigantic revolutionary undertaking to eliminate the centuries-old backwardness of the regions and realize the cherished desire of the regional people and has made sure that the yearly construction processes become leaps forward to a higher stage, the speaker said that under his outstanding leadership, the regions accounting for one-tenth of the country came to have solid foundations for independent development last year and those making up one-fifth this year already.
New structures, including a modern hospital and leisure complex, will also be built in Jangyon County in the future as part of the efforts for implementing the regional development policy expanding year by year, he said, adding that the county should carefully manage the assets of civilization provided by the new era, push ahead with the undertakings for the development of the area on the basis of them and thus make more significant progress in improving the living standards of the county people.
He ardently called for waging a more dynamic struggle for the steady implementation of the regional development policy and for the future of the country which will be highly civilized and rejuvenated by remaining loyal to the ideology and leadership ofKim Jong Un.

At the venue of the inauguration ceremony, where an impressive sight to be eternally recorded in the history of the country along with the new era of regional development unfolded, fireworks of celebration went off and a large number of balloons went up to beautifully decorate the sky over the county.
All the participants raised enthusiastic cheers, so excited by the great honour of celebrating with splendour the day of inauguration in the presence ofKim Jong Unwhom they had longed to see even in dreams.
A sweet child presented a bouquet of fragrant flowers to him in reflection of the county people’s unanimous reverence for him.
He met some working people participating in the ceremony and shook hands with them one by one, warmly wishing the local people a happy future.
