Officials, working people, youth and schoolchildren in North Phyongan Province have planted tens of millions of trees in over ten thousand hectares of land.
They also worked by the sweat of their brow in order to ensure high rooting rate by manuring and tending the planted trees in keeping with the scientific and technological requirements.
The provincial Party Committee conducted organizational and political work in a meticulous manner to let all the regions and units take an active part in planting more of superior breeds of trees on a high qualitative basis in every mountain in this year’s tree-planting season.
It saw that cities and counties intensively planted trees by motivating the masses.
It also organized a show as concerns the sci-tech issues arising in tree planting.
In the tree-planting season, lots of trees were planted by the senior officials of the province who stood in the van and lots of working people in the province.
Amid the soaring patriotic enthusiasm of the masses, tens of millions of trees including millions of wild fruit trees were planted.
The province channeled main efforts into creating a forest for raw materials for implementing the Party’s regional development policy this year.
Accordingly, cities and counties newly arranged more oil-bearing tree forests of a large area and planted a number of trees to create forests for raw materials of paper and wild fruit tree forests.
Thus, they secured a firm guarantee for supplying raw materials to the regional-industry factories.
In this course, Thaechon County received the title of Model Forest County and hundreds of units the title of Socialist Patriotic Forest.
